Horse-drawn sleigh rides
Take in the picturesque scenery of the Tennen Mountains as you go zoom through snowy fields and woods.
Zitta and Martin take the place in the trap, their think fur steaming in the freezing air and snow flakes glittering in their manes. "Hott" (sleigh speak for "right") shouts Simon Steiger and steers the horses out of Werfenweng village centre towards Wengerau. The beautiful imposing Tennen Mountain with the beautiful Eiskögel accompanies you on your trip as you pass over snow covered meadows beneath the blue bird sky. The soothing rhythm of the 2 horses quickly becomes the norm as you glide through snow as it glitters in the sunshine.
It is purely romantic to snuggle beneath blankets on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Free sleigh rides for SAMO guests every Tuesday and Thursday from 2.30 - 4.30pm, meet on the village square. Rides last about 1.5 hours with a short stop-off. Sign-up is recommended.

Departing every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. from the village square, lasts ca. 1,5 hours incl. a short refreshment stop. This ride is free once per stay. Please sign up through the tourist office.
